Parents in Leeds who want to take their children on vacation this summer can now get free private Covid-19 tests to allow them to fly.
The new coronavirus testing service, launched by DAM Health, will provide free testing for children with a paying adult.
With the majority of international destinations requiring Covid-19 PCR testing before visitors arrive and unauthorized holiday testing on the NHS, the program will save families additional costs before going on holiday.
The service, which launched at DAM Health’s Leeds clinic on Great George Street on Tuesday, will save the average family £ 200.

Professor Frank Joseph, director of DAM Health UK, explained that it was simply “a way to help families spend time abroad this summer”.
“Parents and children will need to provide a certificate of negative Covid-19 test result to travel on vacation abroad this summer,” Professor Joseph said.
“We realize how many people will desperately need to get away from it all and spend time with loved ones abroad, but when you factor in all the costs, it becomes very expensive to take the whole family on vacation. .
“This is why we have decided to make private testing free for children at all of our DAM Health clinics – especially since testing is now a way of life. We will save the average family around £ 200. It will make a real difference. After the year we’ve had, people deserve a vacation.

Professor Joseph launched his first Covid-19 clinic and testing lab in Liverpool last December, but has since opened 10 sites in London alone with 31 clinics located across the country, from Birmingham to Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Nottingham, Essex, Surrey and Sheffield.
Commenting on his business expansion and future coronary testing requirements, Professor Joseph said, “Even with the vaccine, we will need negative tests before we travel abroad for vacation, work and travel. gatherings in the future.
“We knew private Covid-19 testing was scarce when we launched our first clinic in December and we are now poised to become one of the largest private testing providers in the country.
“And with that comes the responsibility of helping people such as parents and caregivers take their children on vacation.”
